# Synota

> Synota is a financial settlement platform for energy suppliers, brokers, and large commercial and industrial (C&I) energy consumers, including data center operators. It combines usage data, prices, and contract terms to calculate daily invoices, automate payments, and provide auditable records of charges and payments.

Synota helps customers manage accounts receivable, cash flow, and credit exposure. It can work alongside existing billing systems or as a standalone service. Payment frequency and terms depend on the contract; settlement timing also depends on the payment method. Synota is non-custodial and does not hold customer funds.

Synota also provides automated settlement for AI infrastructure, linking metered usage and contract rates to invoices, payment schedules, and cost attribution. This is distinct from Synota's optional AI-assisted invoice analysis: AI helps interpret documents, while Synota performs financial calculations and settlement logic deterministically, with results available for human review.
